KUKA wins FREDDIE Award for the Xpert AI Assistant
At the FREDDIE – Industrial AI Award – ceremony in Munich, KUKA was recognized for its Xpert AI Assistant in the “Transformation Mindset” category. The award celebrates standout AI solutions in manufacturing that deliver real impact, drive innovation, and show strong potential for the future.
The Xpert AI Assistant enables intuitive, voice-based interaction with the KUKA Xpert knowledge platform. Users receive precise answers within seconds, drawn from over 1.6 million verified product details, service manuals, and error diagnostics – a powerful solution for digital customer support and knowledge sharing at KUKA.
I'm incredibly proud that the Xpert AI Assistant has received this award. The FREDDIE Award clearly shows the real value our solution brings to users around the world – and highlights the innovation and teamwork that went into this project.
The independent jury – including experts from Fraunhofer IAIS, the University of St. Gallen, and the German KI Bundesverband – selected six winners across five categories from more than 50 submissions. KUKA stood out in a strong field of contenders, impressing with a clear focus on user-friendliness and digital transformation.
The award is not only a recognition of our technology, but also of the way we make knowledge accessible at KUKA – fast, intuitive, and user-centered.
The FREDDIE Award is initiated and presented by publish-industry and UnternehmerTUM. Its goal is to spotlight industrial AI applications that create real value and actively shape the future of the industry.
